Science Observations.

We have been learning how to make observations, look closely and describe what we can see. We used magnifying glasses to look closely at the palms of our hands. We made some amazing discoveries and enjoyed exploring the rest of our skin - healing scabs became a favourite! Mrs Cooper was amazed had how wrinkly her hand was! Ask us about what we noticed about our hands and skin.

Science Inquiry Work.

We have been learning all about our body and how to keep it happy and healthy. The children posed their own questions for inquiry, lots of them were based around the heart. We watched a You Tube clip of a real heart beating and we listened to the noise it makes when it beats. We decided to do some experiments on our own hearts. First we listened to our heart beating and to our learning partners. Next we went for a run, listened our hearts again and talked about what we noticed and what we could feel when we put our hand on our chests. So much excitement!!
